by epb

Habitat

by Karmela Rae

Two recent disasters have thrashed a bit of the Philippines’ beautiful landscapes, but we need to be on the lookout for more.  Climate change is a serious issue we need to take under consideration, as there are speculations about some of the small islands in the Philippines that may vanish from the map permanently in the next few years.

Knowledge Increases

by Karmela Rae

Bioprinting will probably be the next medical miracle in technology. It is an ongoing research by Organovo, which will be used to treat people with various diseases.

Bioprinting is derived from the concept on inkjet printers, which primarily work by putting ink cartridges with different colors of ink to enable the machine to print. The bioprinter will work just like the inkjet printer, except that it will have cartridges of living human cells instead of ink cartridges, and a cartridge for the gel-like substance which will hold the cells together before they fuse after the printing process. The printer will be enabled to move up, down, left and right to enable the machine to print 3D cells, tissues and even organs.

DIE EMPTY

by Dorie

The thought of dying probably scares most of us, but let me share the other side of dying- dying empty. I’ve heard it first from my pastor, on one of his preaching he was at the top of his lungs in a rally- like tone saying “You people of God should die empty!”, and we were “What pastor you want us to die?”

Working on Purpose

by Ilai

Our Sovereign God puts you exactly where you are right now, not only for you to work, but to do something more, to do something with eternal value.

Acts 1:8 “But you’ll receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you’ll be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Buying and Selling

by epb

I was browsing YouTube last week when I saw this video. I got curious because it is all about  a company owned by Google.  It's about a product that deals with authentication and that can also be used in the medical fields.  Got your attention?

Before we go on further, let us first define what authentication is.

According to the Free Dictionary website - Authentication is:
     1. A security measure designed to protect a communications system against acceptance of a fraudulent transmission or simulation by establishing the validity of a transmission, message, or originator.
    2. A means of identifying individuals and verifying their eligibility to receive specific categories of information.
     3. Evidence by proper signature or seal that a document is genuine and official.
   4. in evasion and recovery operations, the process whereby the identity of an evader is confirmed.

Wake up Philippine Islands

by Jes

Rubbles in Loon Church (Photo from Wikipedia)
After the earthquake in Bohol and Cebu, the super typhoon of the world, typhoon Yolanda, hit our beloved country, the Philippines. Almost 3/4 of whole Visayas has washed out in the map. Hundreds of people died and thousands lost their home (official government figures  as of 6:00 am of November 11, 2013 click here), asking for food and water. My heart is tearing down when I watched the news report. I saw my kababayans crying, begging and asking for help.

The Shaking

by: Dorie

26At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”  27The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.

GIA's 4th Year Anniversary

by: Karmela Rae

It was yet another day of celebration for the members of the Church of Jesus Christ the Great I Am, or GIA, as they commemorated their 4th year New Season Anniversary at the Fortunata Clubhouse in Sucat, Paranaque.

It has been 4 years since the transition of the church as prophetic and apostolic church, as opposed to being traditional as it was a few years back. Celebrating with the GIAns is renowned speaker and pastor, Bishop Dante Veluz, and his son Jonathan.

Bicol Mission - September 23 to October 5, 2013

by: epb

On September 23rd 2013, a group had set out to areas in the Bicol region, specifically in Tabaco, Legaspi, and Ligao, all in Albay. The group was headed by our head pastor, Pastor Rene Ruzol, and it was a mission to spread God's Message to the people in the said places.

On the start of the trip we encountered a test to check our faith.  However through constant prayers and spiritual warfare from the rest of the congregation, we overcame the test as the Holy Spirit was with us throught out our mission.

We were able to meet a lot of people, especially leaders from different churches, and by the grace of God the Good News was spread.

The mission, which ended on October 5th, had been a success.  To bless you, here are some pictures of our mission.
