26At
that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will
shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” 27The words “once more” indicate the removing of what
can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may
remain.
Hebrews 12:26-27 (NIV)
And
it did happen, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake jolted Bohol and Cebu last October
15, 2013 at 8:12 in the morning. The
epicenter was in Carmen a town in Bohol, which is famous for its tarsiers and
chocolate hills. However, the first shaking in the Philippines was not on land
but in the government. Last August, we
woke up with the news about one of the country’s biggest corruption scandal that
involves Mrs. Janet Lim-Napoles. Napoles
was charged for the alleged misuse of public money otherwise known as Priority
Development Assistance Fund (PDAF), or better known as our legislators “Pork
Barrel.” When she was exposed a lot of
senators, congressman and government officials who were part of the pork barrel
scandal also surfaced.
For many
people, this news sound like the
Philippines is under another setback or misfortune that strikes us, however to
those who know the Lord and has heard His message for the Philippines through
prophet Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj (via the 22nd National Prayer Gathering sponsored by
Intercessor for the Philippines) this is
just part of the fulfillment of the prophecy. The Lord is shaking our country, exposing
corruption that has been hidden from our sight but know that exists. The Lord
is showing us that He’s in control over our government and not the politicians.
The Lord is shaking the land so we won’t rely on any man made infrastructure
but on Him, the Creator of heaven and earth.
And this
shaking is not only in our country but also in our own personal life. This won’t stop until the day that we are
made perfect in His sight. Therefore, don’t be afraid of shaking, its God’s
hand at work in us, welcome it and pray that its purpose may be accomplished in
your life.

ReplyDeleteGod is our refiner’s fire. The purpose of His shaking is to give us the fear of God, to form us, prepare us for His grandiose purpose and assignment in our lives!
