GIA Youth Volunteer Teachers

by Karmela Rae

Over the last month, the youth of GIA Church Global Inc. has held Summer Vacation Bible Schools, or SVBS, in four different locations (Topsville Subdivision, Equity Homes in San Antonio Valley 6, Zapote, and Barandal, Calamba). The project itself yielded 256 students from ages 6 to 12 years old.

Headed by the SVBS "principal" Ms. Jackie Sarcia, the head teachers of the said program were Ms. Blesseree Ruzol, Mr. Jirico Cantay, Ms. Angelika Mercader, Ms. Valerie Joy Uchi and Mr. Leinard Latorre. The rest of the volunteers for this program were facilitators and marshals.

In line with the success that this program has gleaned, GIA Youth leaders Dorie Cantay, Angela Cantay, Elden Valdez and Lea Toledo has initiated having a recognition day for all that has exerted effort for this project last May 24, 2014 at the GIA Global Inc. sanctuary. Much like the recognition day for the SVBS students during the 5th day of teaching, the teachers, facilitators and marshals were also awarded according to the efforts they have made during the whole course of the program.

The graphic designer of the certificates are Mr. Elden Valdez and Mr. Genesis Barroga. Senior
Pastor Carl "Rene" Ruzol and his wife Sis. Chari Ruzol were the guest speakers for the said event.  After the awarding ceremony, everyone was served the scrumptious cooking of Pastor Nestor and Sis. Dolores Cantay.

Below is a video made by GIA Creative Team co-heads Genesis Barroga and Elden Valdez to congratulate the youth for the success of their event.

  1. The Lord is transforming the young people that will turn the world upside down, inside out!
"'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. --> Acts 2:17
